Ola cab-driver returns bag to his passenger; had items worth Rs2.5 lakh

An Ola cab driver is receiving a ton of love on social media and internet for his act of kindness towards a rider. On Facebook, a post has been shared that gives out details as to how the driver returned items worth Rs 2.5 lakh that the rider had forgotten in his cab. And his act of kindness has not only earned him social media love, but his wonderful deed has been acknowledged by Ola.

A Facebook user Sayuj Ravindran in his post shared details as to how he and his family were returning from wedding in a cab late at around 3:30 am and during the journey, a flat tyre halted the ride. The driver whose name is Khateeb Ur Rahman advised the passengers to book another cab as it would take some time to get the tyre fixed. The passenger booked another cab and was almost home when he got a call from Rahman. Rahman told Ravindran that they had forgotten a bag in the taxi.

In his post, Ravindran said that he then realized it was his laptop bag which also had some valuables in it. Rahman not just waited for Ravindran to collect his bag but he also drove near to his house so that it was more convenient for him to collect the belongings.

Ravindran, in his Facebook post, said – meet Mr. Khateeb Ur Rahman, he returned my bag (with stuffs worth Rs 2.5 lakhs approx). He also added that Rahman refused to take any money from him in return for the favour but he somehow managed to slip in the money into his jacket’s pocket forcefully.
