The handsome hunk of Bollywood Shahid Kapoor is one of the most popular actors in B-Town. The actor has come a long way from his debut in Ishq Vishk in the year 2003. Read on to know about Shahid’s journey throughout the years. It is an unknown fact to many that Shahid started his career in Bollywood as a background dancer. Yes! He was a part of Shiamak Davar’s dance institute and made several appearances as a background dancer in the films Dil To Pagal Hai and Taal, in the year 1997 and 1999, respectively.

He also featured in several music videos before his acting debut. It was in 2003 that the actor made his acting debut with romantic comedy movie Ishq Vishk. The movie featured Shahid and Amrita Rao in the lead roles. The pair again starred in super popular movies Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi and Vivah. Both films were huge successes at the box office and Shahid rose to fame after these movies.
At one point in time the actor has undergone downfall as his movies did not do the magic at the box office. In the year 2006, Shahid Kapoor was paired with Kareena Kapoor in the movie 36 China Town. The duo again shared the big screen with their romantic comedy, Jab We Met which was a hit in India. He also received first Best Actor nomination for this movie.
From there Shahid’s career graph kept on going high. Currently, he is one of the highest-paid actors in Bollywood. His recent movie Kabir Singh was a big blockbuster at the box office. According to the reports, the movie has collected over 300 crores in the domestic market itself.
