There are some cricketers who while making successful careers in cricket tried their hands in Acting as well. However very few got successful in this field.
Vinod Kambli
The life of Vinod Kambli, full of twists and turns is no less than a script of a bollywood movie. A very few people are aware of the fact that he had tried his hands in acting too. He debuted in year 2002 with a movie called Annarth. In the very year he became part of a television drama called Miss India.
Salim Durrani
Durrani was one among the most furious batsmen of his time. However he had a small career in cricket as he got more interested in doing Cinema. Blessed with great looks, Salim Durrani debuted the silver screen with a movie called Charitra. Unfortunately the movie did not turn up well and hindered his way of becoming a bollywood superstar.
Salil Ankola
Salil Ankola made his cricketing debut in the same match as Sachin Tendulkar did. However he had to stop playing cricket due to the growth of tumor in his leg. He then chose Cinema and made debut in year 2000 with the movie called Kurukshetra. Since then he also starred in various TV shows and also participated in Big Boss.
