The Best Debut category award is very important for actors because it gives them recognition and a platform right off from the first film. The Best Debut award gives actors motivation going forward and today we’ve compiled a list of prominent actors (male) from the present scenario who won an award after their first film itself.
1) Ranbir Kapoor
Ranbir Kapoor made his debut in the film industry with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Saawariya alongside fellow debutante Sonam Kapoor in 2007. The movie did not do well in the box office but Ranbir was nonetheless rewarded with The Best Debut Filmfare award.
Since then the 35-year-old actor has gone from strength to strength, mesmerizing audiences with films such as Barfi, Rockstar, Wake Up Sid and various others. Ranbir will next be seen in Brahmastra and Shamshera in the year 2020.
2) Ranveer Singh
Ranveer Singh won the Best Debut Award in 2011 for his first film Band Baaja Baarat. Starring alongside Anushka Sharma, the film did well to connect with the audiences. Ranveer would go on to make stunning performances in the upcoming years starring in films such as Ramleela, Lootera Padmaavat, and many more.
Currently, he is busy with the shooting of his next film, 83, which is the biopic of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev. The movie releases next year and will tell the tale of Indian Cricket Team’s first-ever World Cup triumph in 1983.
3) Ayushmann Khurrana
The talented and versatile Ayushmann Khurrnana made his Bollywood bow with 2012 film Vicky Donor and won the Best Debut Actor award in the year 2013 for his extraordinary performances. Since then, Ayushmann has gone on to star in various incredible movies.
Currently, he is on a red hot streak by delivering 7 back to back hit films which include various critically acclaimed movies such as Shubh Mangal Savdhaan, Badhai Ho, Andhadhun, Article 15, and most recently ‘Bala’.
