Indian actors that left their successful TV profession to make it big in Bollywood

Bollywood holds a very special place in the people who aspire to become actors. Furthermore, regardless of how well known you are on the little screen, you need to become showbiz in the greater field. And, that is actually what a portion of these well-known TV entertainers did. Some of them forayed into Bollywood quitting their good TV professions while some of them did it to give their karma a shot. Be that as it may, not every person makes it in the industry. 

Anita Hassanandani

Anita Hassanandani rose to popularity with various serials. Her first show that got her recognition was Kabhii Sautan Kabhi Sahelii. She is a well-known name in the TV industry. She left her TV to work in Bollywood with films like Taal, Kkavyanjali, and so on. Yet, Anita came back to TV and made her strong presence felt in shows like Yeh Hai Mohobatein and Naagin 3.

Rajeev Khandelwal

One of the most mainstream TV actors, Rajeev Khandelwal is known for his show, Left Right Left. Khandelwal left the show as he needed to try his luck into Bollywood. In 2008, his first film Aamir released and he won accolades from the audience and critics for his presentation. After this, he showed up in a couple of more Bollywood projects, like, Shaitan, Soundtrack, Table No.21, and Samrat and Co. Nonetheless, Rajeev Khandelwal didn’t get a similar measure of distinction in Bollywood that he got in his TV appears.

Amar Upadhyay

We saw him in Dekh Bhai Dekh in his mid-20s, Sahil Diwan. He was the nephew of Shekhar Suman’s character on the show. Yet, he got his big break on TV with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Mihir, his character, and he turned out to be a commonly recognized name in India. After his achievement in TV he wandered into a film with Dhund – The Fog (2003), alongside Aditi Govitrikar, and furthermore showed up in J.P. Dutta’s picture, LOC Kargil (2003) yet tragically his movie profession didn’t turn out true to form.
