Remember the good old days when television serials such as Shaka Laka Boom Boom, Karishma Ka Karishma came on television. From the same period hailed another childhood fantasy show, Son Pari. Featuring the life of Frooty, the show was lead by Mrinal Kulkarni who dressed a fairy with a crown, a staff and golden wings attached came to the rescue of the little girl.
I bet we all grew up watching all the episodes of the show because it was such a big hit. After the show, the lead actress Mrinal too became a household name. While the show aired for four years, it went under the wraps in December 2004 and a lot has changed in the world.
Recently we stumbled across some pictures of the lead actress of the show, Mrinal and she looks very changed without the whole get-up of Son Pari. Nowadays, she’s become a regular feature in the Marathi film industry, last seen in the film Ye Re Ye Re Paisa.
Mrinal was born in Pune and hails from a Marathi family. She made her acting debut at the age of 16 with a Marathi show called Swami. Over the course of her prolonged career, the actress has been a part of various renowned shows such as Hasratein, Rishety, Neelanjana, Happy Journey, among others.
However, that’s not all, Mrinal even went on to do roles in various films like Ram Gopal Verma Ki Aag, Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye, and Lekar Hum Deewana Dil. While she could only manage part-time roles in Hindi movies, Mrinal became a big star in the Marathi film industry with some renowned projects such as Prem Mhanje Prem Mhanje Prem Asta, Ye Re Ye Re Paisa, Fatteshikast, Farzand, to her credit.
