The 2000 models also received a 3.9 customer satisfaction rating, making it the 19th most popular. It was a great car that came out with a new technology called Night Vision. This was the first production year for the model and it was well-received by the public. It had the large tailfins with dual bullet taillights. it was available in a 4-door sedan with a choice of four or six windows in a hardtop, with luxury power seats. The two-speed window wipers were also a popular feature. There were more than 53,000 sold in its first year of retail sales.
12. 1960 Cadillac DeVille
The second-year model received numerous upgrades and a redesign. The fins were calmed down and not quite as high or sharp for the 1960 model year and the overall aesthetic was more restrained and a bit smoother. Special script nameplates adorned the rear fenders adn the models came with power brakes, power steering, dual back-up lights, an automatic transmission, two-way power seats, power windows, and a vanity mirror. You also had your choice of Chadwick cloth. leather or Cambray cloth for the interior.
11. 1962 Cadillac DeVille
The 1962 DeVille was given a facelift with a thicker horizontal center bar, more delicate cross-hatching and a flatter grille. This changed the initial appearance giving it a more modern aesthetic. More chrome ws applied to the trim panel with a ribbed textured chrome. The rear taillights were inset in vertical nacelles and a host of standard equipment was added. This included remote-controlled outside rearview mirror, a heater and defroster along with front cornering lamps, along with more insulation behind the firewall and on the floor to give it a quieter ride. There were a total of 71,883 units sold in this model year.
10. 1963 Cadillac DeVille
Once again, the design team at Cadillac granted a restyle for the 1963 model. they offered a bolder and lengthier appearance for the exterior with a redesign of the deck lids and hoods with a lower profile and an elimination of the side body sculpting with flush-fender dual headlights. Options for the bucket seating included nylon, leather or wool upholstery fabrics along with genuine wood veneer facings for the seatbacks, doors and the dashboard. 9. 1964 Cadillac DeVille
1964 received only minor changes including a new grille that extended to the body sides. The tailfins were still present and featured a fine blade design. There were some enhancements to performance including a larger V8 engine for a boost in power. This was the first year for the 429 cubic inch engine that offered 340 horsepower for enhanced performance. It was also the first year that Cadillac offered the DeVille in a convertible platform. This model year sold more than 110,000 units.
8. 1968 Cadillac DeVille
This model year brought changes in the grilles with the insertion of a finer mesh wtih an outer section that featured a step-down design. True to its tradition, Cadillac delivered an alteration for the rear-end styling with a new take on the deck lid and the elongation of the hood by 8.5 inches to accommodate a new hidden windshield wiper-washer which offered three speeds for greater versatility. It was offered in a choice of 20 exterior paint colors and it also featured a new 472 cubic inch V8 engine rated at 375 horsepower. This was the last year that the DeVille would come with stacked dual headlights.
7. 1973 Cadillac DeVille
1973 was one of the better years for the Cadillac DeVille with a record sale of 216,243 units delivered to new owners. The car featured a new energy-absorbing bumper along with wider and more intricate grilles. There were a lot of stylistic changes made to this model wtih a flatter upper section housing, recessed license plates, rear side marker lamps and more. The door panels featured larger and stronger pull-straps with soft pillow door treatments. A new option was an illuminated vanity mirror. This would be the last year that a true hardtop version would be offered.
6. 1996 Cadillac DeVille Concours Sedan
The 1996 Concours Sedan was one of the most popular models with a rating of 4.7 out of 5. This car featured a standard 4.6-liter V8 engine that took premium gasoline with an average combined mpg of 20-22. It was mated with the same 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Drivers enjoyed the comfort and reliability of this model year, particularly the standard automatic temperature control, illuminated glove box, and driver/passenger vanity mirrors, power windows, trunk hatch, and auto-latch, remote keyless entry, rear air conditioning, cruise control, tilt steering wheel, and optional garage door transmitter. 5. 1998 Cadillac DeVille Elegance 4-door Sedan
Tied with the 1996 DeVille Concours is the 1998 model year in the Elegance Sedan edition. It was equipped with the lower horsepower 275 hp 4.6-liter V8 with the same transmission and only available in one exterior color. It offered the ultimate in comfort and luxury with standard leather upholstery and leatherette door panel trim, carpeted cargo space, power passenger seats, carpet on the lower door panels, 6-way power passenger seat, driver fore/aft adjustment front and rear center armrest with storage, 8 power driver seat adjustments, full carpet floor covering, reclining driver seat, heated front seats with height adjustment, and a leather steering wheel.
4. 1997 Cadillac DeVille
The 1997 model was available in the base sedan, the Concours and the Elegance variations. It was offered in 14 exterior colors and 7 interior color combinations. Some of the favored options for this edition were the comfort and convenience package that came with 4-way power lumbar support seats, and a memory package for an easier return to the original or programmed configuration for maximum lumbar support for different drivers. You could also opt for a trailer towing package for hauling up to 3000 additional pounds with the special hits. It came with a trailer wiring harness and regular oil and HD radiator coolers to prevent overheating. This model received a high rating of 4.8 out of 5 for all of its bells and whistles.
3. 1995 Cadillac DeVille
The 1995 edition of the DeVille was tied with 1997 in popularity. It was offered in the base 4-door Sedan edition with 6 seats or the 5-seat Concours edition. The standard features were luxurious but there were some great upgrades available such as the switch in the infotainment system to a CD player which at the time was state-of-the-art. This model came with all the bells and whistles that one would expect in a luxury touring car.

The 1993 DeVille received ratings of 4.9 with as close to perfection as you were going to come. Drivers gave this model a perfect 5 out of 5 for reliability, comfort, and value for the money. The next best score was handed down at 4.9 for performance and exterior styling with a 4.8 for interior design. This was truly the most popular model of all time as described by owners who couldn’t say enough about their Caddy.
