Vicky Kaushal’s career has been on the rise and the actor after a couple of hits and misses has definitely come a long way. From Masaan to Uri: The Surgical Striker, Vicky has played a wide variety of characters, displaying his versatility as an actor, and also making the audiences crush over him, with his boy next door looks.
However, things haven’t been like this for him always, there was a time when he used to look very different. The charming Vicky Kaushal of the present has undergone a massive transformation from his teens, and today, we take a look at the actor’s journey from being just a normal actor to being dubbed as the National Crush of India.
Apart from physical transformation, Vicky has grown as an actor too. In the year 2018 alone, he delivered three back to back hits, namely – Raazi, Sanju and Manmarizyaan. During a media interaction in the past, the actor talked at length about the changes that came into his life after becoming a successful actor.
“The journey from being my father’s son to him being Vicky’s dad was what gave me hope… things were changing. And my happiest moment since then was when I first bought my own car with my own money,” said Vicky.
He further added, “When you’re younger, you just say things like I’ll have my own Mercedes someday.. Never knowing when it’ll happen. So I took my mom to the showroom and she said, “You remember when you were younger, you used to point out toy cars in those shops? And today you’re making me sit in your car.” She had tears in her eyes. That was the moment I knew that I’ve retained my title as being the ‘Kaushal parivaar ka chirag,’ and I did it on my own terms”, he said.
On the work front, Vicky has a lot of films in the coming year. Bhoot: Part One, will be his first horror film, after which he will appear in Sardar Udham Singh biopic and will also star in Karan Johar’s period drama Takht.
