Marathi Industry’s known face Neha Joshi, who worked in many Marathi serials and movies like “Zenda” and “Poshter Boyz” is all set to play Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s mother Bhimabai in the upcoming Hindi TV show ‘Ek Mahanayak-Dr. B.R Ambedkar’ which will be aired on &TV. The actress says she is always open to experiments and loves to play new characters.
The actress further spills the beans on her character and states that ” Every character, be it small or big comes with responsibilities and challenges. In any case, playing a character that is known to numerous individuals and had already ruled over the hearts of the audience, is really challenging. The genuine test lies in the equity that you can bring to such characters. Yet, playing the character at your level best will surely bring accolades to the actor,”.
On speaking about playing the role of a mother for the very first time, the actress says, “Playing the mother of a well-known personality is for sure a very big opportunity and therefore, the decision.of playing the character was made on these reasons. The strong character of Bhimabai will inspire many mothers to preach their children in such a way that people will look up to them one day,” she included.
The show is based on Babasaheb Ambedkar’s life journey from the age of five to turning into the main member who drafted the Indian constitution. Created by Smruti Shinde’s SOBO Films,‘Ek Mahanayak – Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’ will be aired from December 17, 2019, only on &TV.
