Ace personality Anupam Kher has given a special gift to his buffs in the form of a throwback picture.
Yes, the veteran super star has made all nostalgic as he posted a 31-year-old throwback image from the set of Yash Chopra’s “Vijay.”
The image was taken 31 years back in the year 1988.
The throwback picture is no less than a special treat for the eyes as it has late megastar Rajesh Khanna along with other biggies Rishi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Kher in the similar frame.

While posting the picture, Kher disclosed that in the movie, he had donned the character of Hema Malini dad, Rajesh Khanna’s father-in-law, and grandpa of Rishi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor, even though he was just 33 years old at that time.
Veteran star wrote on his Insta handle, “Group pic taken at the shoot of Yash Chopraji’s ‘VIJAY’. I was 33 years old. But I played Hema Malini’s father. Superstar Rajesh Khanna’s father-in-law. Rishi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor’s grandfather. Originally my role was supposed to be played by the true thespian of Indian cinema #DilipKumarSaab. I felt honoured. #throwback #memories #nostalgia.”
At present, Kher is busy filming the American drama series “New Amsterdam” in the city of New York. The super star was recently witnessed in the flick named “Hotel Mumbai”.
Making a debut during eighties, Kher has worked in a number of flicks in both Hollywood and Bollywood comprising films like ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ and ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ to name a few. Most recently, the 64-year-old has starred in ‘Hotel Mumbai’, the flick on the 26/11 incident in Mumbai.
