Ishaan Khatter after his movie, “Dhadak” with Jhanvi Kapoor has become quite a famous personality. He said that it is very easy for him to play the role of a besotted lover. So, in his upcoming movie A Suitable Boy by Mira Nair, it was very easy for him to romance Tabu. He also added that half of his job was done by Tabu. In this character, Saeeda Bai, she is mesmerizing and he is very excited to her play the role.
Ishaan has given a nickname to Tabu, i.e. Tabasco for Tabassum. He added, “She’s Mirchi.” When asked Ishaan, what he would like to gift Tabuas a gift, he replied, I would like to give her my heart. I am in possession of my heart. I would gift her book of Ghalib’s poetry,” Ishaan replied. In his upcoming film, A Suitable Boy, Maan Kapoor is played by Ishaan who is the revolting son of a politician Mahesh Kapoor, (Ram Kapoor). He gets attracted to Saaeda Bai (played by Tabu) a beautiful courtesan.
Did he choose A Suitable boy (by Mira Nair) over Midnight Children (by Vishal Bhardwaj)? When asked this question he said, “It would be not right for me to say that I had the option of choosing, whatever the reason was, I chose A suitable Boy and I am very happy that I made a good choice. It seemed very difficult in the beginning, but I did it.
I think a lot before taking any decision, and those thoughts are very deep and critical. The co-actors and even the director is very different from the ones, I worked earlier with, and I don’t like if there is any complacent on the sets because of me. It was also asked whether he is single or not, to which he replied yes.
