The Vicky Donor actress Yami Gautam recently went back to her hometown in the state of Himachal Pradesh as she wanted to explore some new methods of organic farming so that the use of fertilisers and medicines can be reduced.
Yami while talking with media said that she will again head to the farm after the work of Ginny Weds Sunny is done. She bought a land last year and this year, the production on it was really good and now, she will see what else they can improve, how can they have more eco-friendly equipment to be operated in the space. Yami is a pahadi and she was subconsciously introduced pretty much with the concept of organic farming in her childhood.
She further said that she wanted to take organic farming after she realised that her native state has an issue of chemical-coated vegetables. She added that she had set up a greenhouse and an organic garden at her home in the hills in the past as well.
Yami added that for her, what is the most interesting about organic farming is that it is absolute poles apart, it is so different, it is such a contrast from the work that I do which is therapeutic, it is a parallel life altogether which is something which she loves to pursue.
The Kabil actress while talking about other techniques, said that this is such a big contrast. You are close to nature, you are doing something which is good and is healthy not just for yourself but for whoever you are serving indirectly around, you feel good about yourself, you feel more engaged, closer to nature and also you are introduced to so many farming techniques.
