Big B Cancels His KIFF Visit Due To Ill Health; Mamta Banerjee Says We Can’t Think of Film Festival Without Him

Bollywood mega star Amitach Bachchan is not feeling well for the past couple of days and this really prompted him to say no to his participation in 25th Kolkata International Film Festival in West Bengal.

Big B has been invited by West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee to inaugurate the 25th Kolkata International Film Festival. But, now Amitabh called off the plans due to his ill heath.

This declaration has been made by Mamata Banerjee on Friday.

In her announcement, she said “Amitabhji comes here every time. But he could not turn up. Since last night he is unwell. So doctors have restricted his movements. He is suffering a lot since last night.”

In the absence of Amitabh Bachchan, it was Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan who inaugurated the festival. Mamta Banerjee had said that she had got a message from Amitabh Bachchan about his health problem.

Mamta Banerjee said that though Amitabh Bachchan was not able to come for the festival, she always believes that the mind of the mega star is in the festival itself.

Mamta Banerjee also said that they cannot even think of a festival without Amitabh Bachchan.

This was also a huge disappointment for his fans in West Bengal as they all expected him to turn up for the inauguration of the 25th KIFF in West Bengal. But ultimately they had to accept the fact that this time Bachchan will not be present for the festival. But, they are all praying for his health and expect him to be back at his best at the earliest.

Amitabh Bachchan is also the host of the popular TV program Kaun Banega Crorepati and he has been recently busy with the show and was having a tough schedules. For the last few days, he has been unwell and his doctors has instructed him to restrict his body movement for some days.
