Neena Gupta
She was in a highly publicised relationship with former West Indian cricketer Vivian Richards in the 1980s, with which she has a daughter Masaba Gupta, a designer. Neena chose to raise Masaba single-handedly and never married Richards.
Rahul Dev
Dev’s wife Rina died of cancer on 16 May 2009. The couple had been married for 11 years and have a son, Siddharth. Dev has also spoken about the experience of being a single father.

Poonam Dhillon who is a former actress and now a politician brought her kids up as a single parent after her divorce with Ashok Thakeria. It was heard that Poonam left the film industry after her divorce in order to fulfil her matrimonial responsibilities.
