From Kabir Singh to Mission Mangal, 2019 has given many hits from its very start. Here is the list of movies from January till now.
January: Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi
It was a period drama film based on the life of Rani Lakshmi Bai of Jhansi. This Zee studios production featured Kangana Ranaut as Manikarnika.
February: Gully Boy
The film was about a young boy, Murad who wants to achieve his dream to be a rapper. The movie featured Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. Siddhant Chaturvedi was also seen in a major role as a rapper M. C. Sher.
March: Junglee
The story shows Raj, a Vet in Mumbai visits his father’s place on 10th death Anniversary of his mother. The things turn complicated for him as he had to save animals from poachers. The film starred Vidyut Jammwal as Raj, Pooja Sawant as Shankara, Asha Bhat as Meera and Akshay Oberoi as Dev.
April: Kalank
The storyline depicts the love story of Roop and Zafar. However, Roop was already married to Satya’s Husband Dev Chaudhry. It was a multi starrer film including Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt in major roles.
May: PM Narendra Modi
Omung Kumar directorial Biopic on India’s 14th Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The role of Modi was played by Vivek Oberoi, while Manoj Joshi was seen as Amit Shah, Boman Irani as Ratan Tata, Sarkha Sengupta as Jashodaben, Aanjjan Shrivastav as Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Zarina Wahab as Hiraben Modi.
June: Kabir Singh
This was a remake of Telugu movie Arjun Reddy. Shahid Kapoor played the role of Kabir Singh who was a short-tempered surgeon. He got addicted to drugs and alcohol after his girlfriend got hitched to someone else by her family.
July: Judgemental hai kya
This Kovelamudi Prakash directorial shows the story in which Kagana was seen as Vidya and Bobby and Rajkumar Rao as Keshav and Amit. Amyra Dastur, Jimmy Shergill, Amrita Puri, Satish Kaushik and Kanika Dhillon were in supporting roles.
Mission Mangal
Based on true events, the movie depicted the whole story about how ISRO was able to reach on the orbit of Mars in one go. It starred Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Tapsee Panny and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles.
September: Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas
Sunny Deol directed the movie which is based on A love story set in snowy hilly regions of Himachal Pradesh with all of the complexities of love.
October: Housefull 4
The story of Housefull 4 was about 3 brothers who was to marry 3 sisters but suddenly one of the brothers remembers about their previous life and thus the story goes on laughing people.
November: Marjaavaan
Raghu aka Siddharth Malhotra and Zoya aka Tara Sutaria enjoyed their lives together. But something went wrong and their happy lives turned to destruction when a vertically challenged gang leader with harmful intentions turns their world upside down.
